Account representatives are responsible for soliciting, selling and servicing client advertising for the newspapers among commercial businesses, organizations, and professionals. Representatives actively solicit advertising sales from new clients each week by means of telephone cold calling, direct canvassing, and solicitation in addition to servicing existing clients.
In addition Account Reps handle all aspects of clients advertising artwork including writing ad copy and collecting material and delivering it to graphic designer getting proofs to advertiser for approval getting changes made and securing final approval. Reps make frequent personal visits to the businesses of advertiser clients, to discuss their current needs, answer any questions, and seek leads for prospective new clients.
The Inland Empire Weekly pays a base guarantee plus commissions. In addition the IE Weekly provides the employee with health and dental insurance, as well as, a 401K plan, plus paid vacations. A gas allowance is also paid.
We are looking for outgoing, competitive, self-assured individuals who are self-motivated and can work independently. Preference will be given to candidates with at least a couple of years of commission outside sales experience.
The Inland Empire Weekly publishes a weekly newspaper in the Inland Empire region. 30,000 papers are controlled distribution and they target high traffic locations.
