Arizona 6 weeks September 23rd - November 4th 2010 LDP was created to offer opportunities to people interested in pursuing employment with outdoor education and adventure-based programs in a leadership capacity. Working with the Northwest Youth Corps, a respected conservation-based organization, and AmeriCorps, LDP members participate in a rigorous curriculum designed to broaden their scope and range in skills such as WILDERNESS RISK MANAGEMENT, TEAM-BUILDING, COMMUNICATION, CONSERVATION, EDUCATION, and LEADERSHIP. This program integrates leadership theory, scenarios, and a hands-on approach using physically demanding conservation work and time-intensive education in our public lands to facilitate the growth and development of leaders in a crew-based setting.
